Heart of Texas Down Syndrome Network
Heart of Texas Down syndrome Network is a 501C3 nonprofit organization committed to supporting the community and help them better understand individuals that are diagnosed as having Down syndrome in Central Texas. The group first started in late 2010. It is the vision of the parents of a son born with Down syndrome that wanted to share their experiences with other families of special needs children. As we continue to grow we hope to provide a wider range of activities & support across the age ranges.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Heart of Texas Down syndrome Network is to provide education, support, and resources to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, professionals, and the community, while building public awareness and acceptance of the abilities of individuals with down syndrome.
Location
We are based in McLennan county and primarily serve McLennan, Falls, Limestone, Hill, Bosque, Hamilton, and Coryell counties. If you are outside of this area, please reach out and we would be happy to serve you or connect you to a closer organization if available!
